How to Order

To put something in your Shopping Cart, start by searching or browsing through our store. When an item interests you, click the BUY NOW Button to add it to your Shopping Cart.


About the Shopping Cart

Using the Shopping Cart

To purchase items using our Shopping Cart, simply follow the steps listed below. If you are having difficulty adding items to your cart or your cart appears empty after you have added items to it, please consult the troubleshooting tips further down on this page.

  1. Find an item that interests you. (If you need help, see our Search Tips.)
  2. Click the Buy Now button on any item's product detail page.
  3. Click the Continue shopping button if you want to buy more items.
  4. If you want to modify your order before you complete the checkout process, here's how:
    • Want to buy multiple quantities of an item in your Shopping Cart? Change the number in the Qty. box and click the Update Cart button at the bottom.
    • Want to remove an item from your Shopping Cart? Select the checkbox in the remove column next to any product you want to remove and click the Update Cart button.
  5. Click the Checkout button to fill out the order form.

Items Missing from Your Shopping Cart?

Your Shopping Cart is related to your stylerule.com account, so logging into or out of your account can cause items to disappear from your cart. For example, if you create a list of items in your Shopping Cart, but you are not logged into your account, that list will be replaced by your account-specific cart when you do log in.

If the cart associated with your account had no items in it, then your Shopping Cart will seem to be empty. Likewise, if you create your list while you are logged into your account, and then log out, your items will seem to disappear. If this is the case, you should be able to retrieve your cart by clicking the "Sign in" link below "Already a customer?"

If this doesn't solve your problem, it's possible that you are having trouble staying logged into your account. It may be that "cookie-trimming" or file utility software is causing the difficulty. Cookies are necessary for shopping, and they are integral in making Your Recommendations and the Shopping Cart work efficiently. Programs such as WebFree, Guard Dog, Cookie Cutter, Cookie Monster, Junkbuster, Watchdog, and even certain browsers can be set to suppress cookies. The way to ensure your cookies are working varies from browser to browser. For example, Netscape allows you to change the settings to accept cookies by clicking Preferences on the Edit drop-down menu, then choosing Advanced and adjusting the settings in the Cookies box.

If you are using Internet Explorer, click the Tools drop-down menu, then click "Internet Options." Click the Security tab, and then click the Custom Level button. Click the radio buttons next to Enable beneath both "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" and "Allow per-session cookies (not stored)." This should enable your browser to accept cookies.

Check Out/Complete Your Order

If you are ready to complete your order, click the "Checkout" button and follow the instructions below that apply to you:

New Customer - At the sign-in page, click the "Continue" button in the New Customer box to create an account with us and save your account information on our secure servers. You will be presented with a form to collect shipping and billing addresses and other information - this will keep you from having to enter it in the future. You will also need to enter a valid email address, along with a password. This will allow you to log in securely to your account in the future. Click the "Continue" button, and if your information was entered correctly, you should receive notification that your account has been created successfully. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation at within one hour; if you do not, please contact us. Click the "Continue" button, and you will be directed to Delivery Information (see below).

Guest Login - At the sign-in page, click the "Guest Login" button in the Returning Customer box to check out without creating an account. You will be presented with a form to collect e-mail and shipping addresses. Click the "Continue" button, and you will be directed to Delivery Information (see below).

Returning Customer - At the sign-in page, enter the e-mail address and password you used to register with the site. Click the "Sign In" button, and you will be directed to Delivery Information (see below).

Delivery Information
At the top right of this screen you will see your entered Shipping Address. Please check that this information is correct - if it is not, click the button marked "Change Address" and enter the correct shipping information. This page also lists available shipping methods and costs for your order. Please select the circle on the right next to your shipping method of choice. If you have a coupon or promotional code to use with your order, please enter it in the space provided. Finally, if you have any comments or special instructions, please use the space provided for your remarks on this page. Click the "Continue" button to submit this information.

Payment Information
Again, at the top right of this screen you will see your entered Shipping Address. Please check again that this information is correct - if it is not, click the button marked "Change Address" and enter the correct shipping information. Next, enter your credit card information in the spaces provided - make sure the "Credit Card Owner" is the name printed on the card. The "Card Verification Number" can be found on the back of your credit card - it is the small three- or four-digit number printed after the account number in the signature box. Under your credit card information, you will have another chance to enter comments and/or special instructions about your order. Click the "Continue" button to submit your payment information and continue.

Confirmation
Carefully check all the information on this page. It should exactly match your billing, shipping, and order information. If any part of the order is wrong, please hit the "back" button on your browser to correct the information. If the information is correct, click the "Confirm Order" button, and you should receive an order confirmation notification. Thanks for shopping with us!

Search Tips
Enter a few specific keywords that describe the information you want to find. Be sure to separate keywords with spaces and to include relevant information, such as product name.

Searches aren't case sensitive, and you don't need to type "and" between keywords. You can narrow the number of results you get by adding more words to your query, or you can broaden your search by including fewer words.

Some tips on searching:

  • Choose keywords carefully. Be specific and enter the most obvious words first.
  • Use words likely to appear on the site (product names or terms specific to the product.
  • If you want the search to include a common word (such as "and"), put the word in quotes as part of a phrase or term ("Perfume and Cologne") or indicate its inclusion with a plus sign (Perfume + Cologne). Be sure to include a space before the plus sign
  • The search results include exact matches for a keyword you enter, not for related words or extensions.
